Today we started an amazing art project where we are working with wire to create sports figurines. We explored the different sports that are happening during the Olympics and picked a sport that is apart of the Olympics.

1) Class picture day: is tomorrow

2) One World Drumming: If you would like more information about what the student did today please follow the link to access Ms. Mann's blog.

On February 8th – 9th, parents and caregivers are invited to join us for a sharing of the student’s work from the week.  Families are encouraged to attend the class that their child(ren) is in.  The schedule will be:

We are very grateful to the Royal Oak School Council and the Parent Fundraising Committee who provided the funding for this residency.  We know that our students are in for an exciting week of drumming and music instruction!

3) Canadian Red: On Friday Ms. Hennicks our gym teacher is asking that all students wear red and white to show their support of the Olympic Athletes.

4) Valentines day: For Valentines day students will be participating in a kindness art project where students will have the opportunity to write kindness notes on a piece of art to their classmates. This activity is being done in lieu of handing out valentines to assist in reducing waste. Please do not send commercial valentines as we will not be passing them out. Thank you for your cooperation.

5) No school: February 15th and 16th due to teachers convention as well as Feb 19th due to Family Day.
